President Gerald Rudolf Ford

President Ford is one of the most underrated presidents. Not only did he inherit the problem of Watergate, but the worst inflation in U.S. history, not to mention the closing out of the Vietnam War.

He handled all with dignity and in some cases, appropriate abruptness, and brought back dignity to a worn down Executive Office.

And he did this while being assailed by a cynical press. Posterity will be much kinder and place President Ford in a much, much brighter light.
